Cockerham Sports Day 2013 was a fabulous celebration of 60 years.  Almost 40 past Rose Queens joined the colourful procession of floats – punks, hippies, teddy boys and girls, 80’s popstars and even members from the 1953 Royal coronation, as well as visiting local Rose Queens, Cockerham Brownies and the popular Aldini. Our new Rose Queen Jenny was crowned by this year’s presidents Richard and and Marion Ayrton and the winners of the fancy dress announced. 10th ANNUAL COCKERHAM ART EXHIBITION 201...

The Tenth Annual Art Exhibition in aid of  St Michael’s Church, Cockerham will take place on Friday 30th August, (10.00 am – 5.00 pm), Saturday 31st August (10.00 am – 5.00 pm) and Sunday 1st September (10.00 am – 4.00 pm) in the Parish Hall, Main Street, Cockerham. Admission is by programme @ £1. Refreshments, including light lunches, will be available throughout the three days. In this popular exhibition last year over 400 paintings were on display, the work of more than 120 artists from all over Lancashire and South Cumbria. It attracted 700 visitors....

Cockerham Field Day Diamond Jubilee

To celebrate the 60th anniversary of Cockerham Field Day all the past Rose  Queens from the last 60 years have been invited to take part in the procession,  including Mary Hodgen the 1st Cockerham Rose Queen from 1953. The procession  will begin at 1 pm from the village hall and will make its way through the village  returning back to the village hall for the crowning ceremony.
